Twenty seven cool, comfortable rooms provide guests with not only accommodation of the highest Le Mirage bedroom - Namibiaquality, but also private balconies from which to survey the profusion of colours that is the Namib.

Guests are accommodated in 27 spacious luxury rooms with en-suite facilities, air-conditioning, delicate subdued lighting, classic drapes, safe, mini bar, tea and coffee making facilities. The lodge has a spacious restaurant sheltering guests against the harsh desert climate. Each of the rooms enjoys a breathtaking desert view.

Activities
A highlight at the lodge is their Mystique Spa, a wellness centre which is specialises in massage, pedicures, manicures, aroma massages and de-stress treatments.

Quad biking tours are on offer, including nature drives in the area and further afield to Sossusvlei.
Enjoy scenic flights, hot air ballooning and shaded game viewing to nearby Sossusvlei with its incomparable sea of sand dunes, towering some 300km skyward.

Camelthorn Kalahari Lodge - NamibiaThe Kalahari Desert in Namibia or Dorsland in Afrikaans is the second largest desert in Namibia after the Namib. The Kalahari is not a true desert as it supports a number of plants and animals, thus making it ideal for game drives and safaris.

Each air-conditioned chalet has an en-suite bathroom including all the modern conveniences, offering a comfortable getaway from the desert heat. The expanse of the reserve is characterized by lofty ancient parallel red dunes sparsely covered by unique vegetation.

Grassy plains peppered with centuries old camel-thorn trees commonly known as “dune streets” or valleys, separate the dunes providing refuge for diverse animal and bird life indigenous to the Kalahari.

Adventures and activities available at Mowani include guided nature drives in search of the elusive desert elephant and hiking through magnificent scenery.

Mowani Camp bedroom - NamibiaStaying at Mowani Mountain Camp, guests can easily join in an excursion to explore the historical site of Twyfelfontein. Twyfelfontein is a rare example of Bushmen engravings and paintings occurring at the same site. This wonderful archaeological site offers more than 2,500 engravings as well as various paintings, and is probably the finest example of rock engravings in Southern Africa.

Boulders Safari Camp – Classic Safari Camps of Africa

Situated 45 kilometres south of Wolwedans, deep in the south of the Namib Desert and hugged by massive granite rocks, Boulders provides the ultimate desert experience – solitude perfected. Opened only in August 2007, Boulders offers a very different environment contrasting beautifully with the dune environment.

An interesting point to mention is that all of the chalets and tents at Wolwedans are designed in such a way that they can be dismantled easily, and within six months the nature it resided on will restore itself and there will be no trace that the camp ever existed. This underlies the Camp's ethos regards setting an example in responsible tourism, empowering its employees and its commitment to the conservation of the NamibRand Nature Reserve.

Sleeping a maximum of eight guests in four spacious tents, Boulders is undoubtedly the most exclusive camp at Wolwedans.
The main area sports a dining and lounge tent, a breakfast deck and an open fire place. Close by is an awesome sundowner spot overlooking the vast beauty of the reserve.

Boulders calls for a two night stay and is ideally booked in combination with one or two nights at any of the other camps in the dunes, which makes for the ultimate desert experience.

Activities
From Boulders Camp you will explore the deep south of Namib RandNature Reserve. Guided scenic drives, or two to three hour walking safaris treading along the ancient hunting grounds of the Bushmen, will happily fill your days.
The main living area sports a dining and lounge tent, a breakfast deck and an open fire place.
Close by is an awesome sun-downer spot overlooking the vast beauty of the
NamibRand Nature Reserve.
