Here's a feel-good story to end the week!
A young bull elephant was spotted with a terrible snare wrapped around his front leg.
After an initial investigation, a decision was made that the young bull would have to be put down. However, having considered the time of day - being late in the evening, the bull was left for another day before any intervention.
One of the onlookers decided to contact Elephants Without Borders (EWB) to see if there was anything they could do to possibly help the situation.

This is a phrase we often hear quoted about the Luangwa - Zambia, in the green season. It simply is not true and we spend a lot of time and effort trying to dispel this myth.
The above image was taken by Will Burrard-Lucas over 5 days this February on foot, by vehicle, by boat and from his fiendishly clever "Beetle-cam" which describe the glories of the green season far more eloquently than we ever could. So we let the images speak for themselves.
