Hi, I’m Sylvia and welcome to Africabound Adventures!

If you’re looking for an African Safari then you’ve come to the right place. Why? Well, I have a passionate love for Africa! Having been born in Zambia, combined with the UK as my second home, I can appreciate and share with you the exciting adventure you will have on an African safari, after having escaped the pressured lives we lead.

I will share with you my experiences and personal knowledge of Africa and you’ll get to hear what my customers (who are now my friends) have to say. If you’ve never been to Africa – you’ve got to go! It’s such an amazing place and being out in the wild with the animals on a walking safari is just awesome! It feels like you’re almost trespassing on someone else’s territory – where the animals rule and you’re just as a mere human!

As your safari planner I will dedicate my time and efforts arranging your tailor-made safari after having listened to what you want to do and what you’re expecting out there in the bush. I have close relationships with family, owner-managed camps, lodges and hotels, so that I can offer you a personalised, reliable and friendly holiday with credible and trusted people I know. My husband and I, with our three children have enjoyed our family safaris and love the special connection we have with Africa and you can too with your loved ones.

I’ll offer you choices which we can discuss to suit what you need and I’ll make sure we go through everything so that your holiday ticks all the boxes! So, what you get from me is one-to-one attention, making sure you’re happy as I perfect your once-in-a-lifetime holiday! I’m not your usual tour operator offering packaged holidays off the shelf. This is about you creating your special lasting memories from someone like me who’s experienced Africa!

The food is great in Africa! The word ‘organic’ out there doesn’t even feature because everything is so fresh, and the people are really friendly. There’s just so much to see and experience. On a walking safari, when a lion roars you ‘hear and feel ‘it around you - through the ground and into your bones – you’re left speechless! That’s when the penny dropped for me and I understood partly why a lion is known as ‘king of the jungle’!
